Interview and Screening
All new-hire candidates are interviewed by ECMStaffing personnel as part of our applicant screening process. During the interview, a special emphasis is placed on the applicants work history, clinical experience and related expertise. Additionally, interviewed applicants receive information regarding ECMStaffing’s performance requirements, employee policies and Company procedures.
Work History Verification
Each applicant is required to provide an updated resume or work history dating back seven years or to the beginning of their healthcare professional career – which ever timeline is shortest.
Licenses and required certifications are verified initially during the new-hire screening process. Annual audits are completed on all current employees to verify licenses and required certifications have been renewed timely. Updated license and certification renewal records are added to each staff member’s file.
Applicants are required to provide current copies of their Healthcare Provider CPR and/or BLS Provider Certification as part of the new-hire screening process. Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NIHSS, TNCC, CPI, CEN, and NRP etc., as required by specific specialties, are added to the staff member’s file and renewals of each certification are audited and updated annually.
Health and Immunization Records
All applicants are required to provide the following records during hiring:
- TB/PPD test or titer results completed within the last 12 months.
- If positive (+) TB/PPD result, a negative (-) CXR completed within the last 5 years with supporting documentation.

All applicants are tested according to their area of expertise. Applicants credentialed in highly specialized fields are required to provide updated resumes that explain and outline their work history and experience. The highlighted work history and experience is again verified by completing a series of additional employment reference checks.
Each employee must complete a comprehensive skills-checklist inventory that is added to their individual file. Staff members are required to renew and update their skills-checklist inventory annually. Annual skills-checklist renewals may not be necessary and/or required of clinicians working in highly specialized career fields.
Applicants are required to provide at least two clinical references verifying their previous work history and experience. Staff members will not be given assignments until two or more clinical references are verified.
Reviews of OSHA, Blood borne pathogens, HIPAA and all other JCAHO required standards are completed annually by each employee.

(2) Social Security Number Verification. (3) County Criminal Search. (4) Federal Criminal Search. (5) Sex Offender Search. (6) FACIS Level 3. (7) OFAC. (8) OIG. (9) EPLS/GSA. ECMStaffing is a drug-free employer! Every employee is required to complete a 10-panel drug screen (within 48-72 hours of hiring) showing negative results before being sent to facilities for assignment. Potential new-hire candidates with positive drug screens are ineligible for employment opportunities with our Company.
Annual performance evaluations are completed on all active ECMStaffing employees. Performance evaluations received from the supervisory staff of our clients are reviewed by ECMStaffing’s management and copies are added to the staff member’s file.
ECMStaffing maintains accurate, complete and up-to-date files on each active staff member (including all of the records and information listed above). Employee files also include documentation related to the applicant’s identity and work authorization as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Specifically, E-Verify checks are completed on all applicants.
Placements and Orientations
Qualified applicants are offered assignments based specifically on their licensure, skill-level, recent experience, and the needs of our clientele. A special emphasis is placed on continuity of service whenever possible. All staff members are required to adhere to the orientation expectations, policies and procedures of the clients and facilities we serve.
ECMStaffing encourages all of our Medical Professionals to participate in on-going educational courses. On-going client and facility orientations are available for ECMStaffing employees wishing to participate in such services.
