De-stress From Work With Oregon’s Attractions

Oregon is a stunning place to visit during any season, but it seems to come alive in the summertime. Immersing yourself in what Oregon has to offer will help you de-stress from work in no time. From Crater Lake to Seaside, you should let yourself relax and have some fun this summer.

Crater Lake

Crater Lake is like a piece of art. When a tall peak collapsed from a violent eruption 7,700 years ago, it created the deepest lake in the US. It is 1,949 feet deep and is also the cleanest body of water in America. Its pristine waters reveal a deep blue color that is breathtaking. Crater Lake National Park spans 183,000 acres and brings in around 700,000 visitors a year.

At Crater Lake, you can go on an easy or challenging hike and have picnics along Rim Drive, a popular spot to sit and take in the view. At sunset, you can pair up with a ranger to hike up to Watchman Peak and watch the sunset. If you want a more private view, heading to East Rim Drive will also provide you with beautiful scenery.

Lastly, if you stay after the sunset, you’ll be able to stargaze, especially on moonless nights. You’ll be able to enjoy looking at the Milky Way and other parts of the galaxy.

Seaside

Seaside is another city worth visiting for its food and activities. There are many attractions such as biking, golfing, hiking, and kayaking. When you need a break from all the physical activity, you can treat yourself to some shopping and a delicious meal.

Seaside offers a variety of foods to try. It’s known for its street food, but you can also stop by their coffee shops, bars and grills, or bakeries. They also have art walks and a muscle car show for car-lovers.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Over in Ashland, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival puts on performances for audiences. Each year, they produce eleven plays from February to October. They are mostly Shakespearean plays, but there are other performances by other playwrights as well. Their mission is to inspire and educate others about Shakespeare and they wish to share learning experiences through these plays. If you love Shakespeare, literature, and plays, this is the place for you.

All of these activities and places to visit are sure to help you relax as you enjoy your stay in Oregon.
