Requirements:
- Must have 1 year of recent experience in the last 18 months
- Active License, WOCN
- Current BLS
Information: The RN is a professional caregiver who provides skilled, compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. The RN must be able to assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care to a diverse group of patients using sound critical thinking and decisive judgement in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and protocols. Must have specific and basic knowledge in the principle, methods and techniques involved in nursing practice and the care of the patient undergoing wound procedures and the acutely ill patient. Accepts responsibility for maintaining and improving professional skills essential to the area of clinical practice. Functions in compliance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act. The Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) provides specialized, evidence-based care to patients with complex wounds and ostomies.
